SECTION 1  Shot 1 The video intro will start with the  camera facing towards the ground. Shot 2 It will then slowly rise up   from the ground to the person standing in a middle of a quiet road with a cardboard poster reading "Where".  Shot 3 The  camera will continue to rise upwards into the sky. It will then come back down  however this time in another location with a different person with another cardboard poster reading "is".  Shot 4 I will then  spin the camera round fast and then will focus it   however this will be yet in another position. I will be outside of The co-operative and zoom into the word "The"  (close up shot) .  Shot 5 I will then zoom out, however as I zoom out this will be in yet another location (the park) and the word "Love" will be engraved into a tree.  Shot 6 There will then be a  simple switch  and the last shot before the beat drops will be a large "?" stuck on the back of a c...

WEEK 7/8 - Draft 'treatment'

Information on your target audience and how you are attracting them: "Where is the Love?" by The Black Eyed Peas seems most relevant to the 16-25 target audience as I feel this age group range will be socially aware and conscious of the current problems mentioned such as, terrorism, war, hypocrisy, racism, gang crime, pollution and intolerance/violence against the LGBTQ+. As well as this they can also join and start movements to make a change to fix these issues.  At the end of the music video lots of different individuals of all ages and ethnic backgrounds are seen looking up into the sky. This could show how they are all coming together and realising that this is their 'one world' and they need to protect it.  Location/setting plans: I would like to use a wide variety of different locations and settings within my music video to give it a wide spread feel like the original video.  Equipment pl...

WEEK 6 - Statement of Intent Draft

I have chosen to use the song 'Where is the Love?" by The Black Eyed Peas for my protest music video. The Black Eyed Peas are an American musical group that formed in the year 1995. Originally they were an alternative hip hop group however, they subsequently changes their musical sound to pop and dance-pop music. My song choice is well known across the globe appearing top of charts in countries such as Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland etc. I chose this song as I feel like it promotes many different powerful messages within the song itself covering multiple worldwide problems. Some of these issues include terrorism, war, hypocrisy, racism, gang crime, pollution and intolerance/violence against the LGBTQ+ community. The Black Eyed Peas are simply trying to spread awareness of issues that are going on in and around the world. The song questions whether there can love in a society full of hate and violence. The song was rel...

WEEK 5 - Audience Description

Brief: A socially-conscious, 16-25 years, middle to upmarket demographic Audience Description  The 'perfect' audience that the video will be directed at will be a socially-conscious, 16-25 year old, middle market demographic group. The audience will be aware of current global situations and trends and social movements. The members of this 'perfect' audience are likely to stand up for what they believe in and understand that by doing so they may be able to make a change if they work together however, they will also understand that this will not always be an easy target to achieve.  Attracting The Audience My music video will attract the 'perfect' audience by not only sharing one but multiple meanings and messages with the viewers. This will then enable each person to interpret and take something different away with them giving the music video a wide span of meaning to each individual. The music video will have a different twist on it so it will be able...
