WEEK 4 - Song Choice

"Where Is the Love?" – Black Eyed Peas

I have chosen this song to create a music video for as it is as strong protest song when is was released in 2003 as it is today. As well as having a direct message I am able to interpret the video in multiple ways which will give me increased potential to create an interesting perspective throughout my music video. 

The Black Eyed Peas released their song "Where Is the Love?" in response to the 9/11 terror attacks. The lyrics address issues including terrorism, racism, gang crime, pollution, war, intolerance, and violence against LGBT people. 

I feel as if this is a strong choice as the song holds several meanings with a range of deep connections beneath.

WEEK 9/10 - Final 'Statement of Intent'

Information on your target audience and how you are attracting them: "Where is the Love?" by The Black Eyed Peas seems most relevant to the 16-25 target audience as I feel this age group range will be socially aware and conscious of the current problems mentioned such as, terrorism, war, hypocrisy, racism, gang crime, pollution and intolerance/violence against the LGBTQ+. As well as this they can also join and start movements to make a change to fix these issues.  At the end of the music video lots of different individuals of all ages and ethnic backgrounds are seen looking up into the sky.
